Kiss + Motley Crue THE TOUR at Susquehanna Bank Center, Camden, NJ. 9/19/12 Concert Review

When your expectations are too high for anything you always get disappointed. Well, I couldn’t have any higher expectation about THE TOUR featuring MOTLEY CRUE and KISS and it didn’t disappointed me.

First of all it’s remarkable to talk about the opener band: The Treatment. It’s a UK band that really showed how to kick ass and pulled a straight no bullshit rock act.  They sounded like a mix between UFO, Thin Lizzy and Def Leppard. If anyone has a chance go see them. It’s a TripperRecomendation.

Motley Crue from the entrance made the big impact, having a clock on the screen of the stage till they came out and started their setlist with Saints of Los Angeles. After the first song Vince Neil introduced his new boots that he has to use because of the injury he suffered a few days ago.

The show had everything you expect on a Motley Crue concert: Girls dancing and flying around, lots of lights, Tommy’s Rollercoaster, Blood Buckets, and insane fireworks. Definitely one of the best stage the band have ever had.

The new song SEX was an instant hit with Camden’s crowd. Many were singing along the chorus and headbanging during the song. After their new hit they continued doing their classics as Don’t Go Away Mad, their obligatory power ballad Home Sweet Home, and at the end of the show it couldn’t miss their three biggest songs: Dr. Feelgood, Girls, Girls, Girls, and Kickstart My Heart.

You can easily notice that Vince Neil have a big problem getting to sing his songs he made 30 years ago. His voice is getting rough and for some fast paced singing he avoids some of the lyrics.

Tommy Lee did his famous Rollercoaster Drum Solo. Seriously is amazing what Tommy does, but not musically. The solo was playing drums behind some Dubstep music and finished with Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Roller Coaster. The only impressive thing about it is how he plays upside down. Instead of Tommy Lee Drum Solo they should called that act the Tommy Lee Drum Show.

Anyway, the show was great and delivered to the fans what they wanted to see.

Kiss came down from a riser with the sound of Detroit Rock City following by Shout It Out Loud. By then they had their massive screen with the KISS Logo on lights. After I Love It Loud, Gene came out with his sword in flames to make his classic fire spitting trick.

Since the new Kiss album, Monster, is coming to the stores in a couple of weeks, Paul didn’t wasted time and promoted his album and playing their new single, Hell or Hallelujah. Later on, Tommy “Ace’d” the show shooting some fire from his guitar and performed Shock me, which is an Ace Frehley song. At the end of the song Tommy and Eric jammed.

The band continued doing their signature show that includes the blood spit of gene, him flying and playing God of Thunder from atop the rafters, Paul Flying across the crowd and playing in a back of the seating area solo stage, and you know the show is over when Paul smashes his guitar. It is pretty much the same show they have been performing since the 70s.

Because it was one of the final dates of the tour they played Strutter at the encore which was a surprise because that song was a big miss in the whole tour. Then the big celebration with confetti falling all over the crowd ended the show with Rock and Roll all Nite.

Having such a big band supporting like Motley Crue doesn’t gives Kiss the time to play most of everybody’s favorites like Deuce, Beth, Calling Dr Love, I Was Made For Loving You, and many more that you can think about. It was still one hell of a concert and cant wait for the next tour of both bands.

People wanted the best and they got the best.

Forgive me father cause i have sinned (Motley Crue + Poison Outlaw Jam Review)

Motorcycles! Girls! Fire! Rock!!!!!!! 80’s glam at its finest @ Outlaw Jam, Maryland.

The real deal started around 3 pm when the New York Dolls showed why they are considered the fathers of two styles that marked the 70’s.. Glam and Punk. Singing their old time hits like Personality Crisis, Pills, Trash and others began motivating the crowd that was starting to get into the rock ambiance.

The weather wasn’t helping, reaching a temperature 102, but the hot bartenders from Cancun Cantina were making it comfortable with beers and coctails all day.

it was 5:15 and Rikki Rockett comes out with a Spray painting in his drums FRED ROCK (wich stands for Frederick, MD), and Poison came out singing LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN. Bret Michaels showed high quality performance and the Band Played for over 75 minutes their classic hits like RIDE THE WIND, UNSKINNY BOP, FALLEN ANGEL, YOUR MAMA DONT DANCE, EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORN, TALK DIRTY TO ME, NOTHING BUT A GOOD TIME and many others celebrating their 25 years.

After Poison played people needed to refresh themselves because of the intense heat of the redneck town and I couldn’t find anything better to do that make my way to first row!

Now the main event!! It started at 8:10 with the sound of the WILD SIDE! the crowd was amazing singing every lyric of the song, then they played SAINT OF LOS ANGELES receiving the same behavior from the crowd until the end of the song that Nikki Sixx Jumped into the crowd to hit a fan FOR USING A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA! at this moment I knew this was a totally memorable show!

Vince Neil reached his highest notes! Mick Mars played amazingly well (He is the darkest guy that i have seen in my life, you can barely say he has facial expressions). Tommy Lee was outstanding with his Roller Coaster Drum Solo and his performance as an entertainer. And Nikki, well what can I say.. being in front row you take your chances of being spat from him, well, he spat at me and in the end threw a bucket of fake blood all over us. AMAZING!

Motley Crue played all of their hits such as LIVE WIRE, GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS, TOO YOUNG TO FALL IN LOVE, HOME SWEET HOME, DR. FEELGOOD, DONT GO AWAY MAD, SAME OLD SITUATION, KICKSTART MY HEART and many others during over 90 minutes of SHOW.

Girls, Lights, Fire, and Marihuana smell all over Outlaw Jam during the whole gig! Forgive me Father cause I have sinned… but I dont regret it!

EXCLUSIVE: Nikki Sixx Jumps off the stage into a fan

We were there next to the incident!

Last night (7/30/11) @ Outlaw Jam, Bassist Nikki Sixx jumped off the stage into the crowd attacking a fan with a professional-style camera. The band stopped playing while security guards came out, pulled Sixx back onto the stage and they removed a large, professional-style camera and its owner from the crowd.

The Incident was between the song “Saints Of Los Angeles” and “Live Wire”

Motley Crue’s Vince Neil joins Warrant for Led Zeppelin’s Rock and Roll (Video)

What does Vince Neil do on a day off from the traveling circus that is the Motley Crue/Poison/New York Dolls tour?

He finds a place to rock.

As the big tour rolled into Uncasville, Connecticut for a show last Friday at the Mohegan Sun arena, Vince and other members of the Crue tour popped in to the Sun’s Wolf’s Den to check out a show by ‘80s rock pals Warrant on Thursday.

Warrant invited Neil up on stage for the Led Zeppelin classic, “Rock & Roll,” much to the screaming delight of fans in the room.

Warrant are touring in support of their new release, “Rockaholic,” which came out in May.

Bret Michaels: “POISON is a party” Touring with MÖTLEY CRÜE and the NEW YORK DOLLS

Hart Baur of  The Miami Herald recently conducted an interview with POISON singer Bret Michaels. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below.

The Miami Herald: How is the tour [with MÖTLEY CRÜE and the NEW YORK DOLLS] going so far?

Bret: It’s been incredible. Seeing all the generations of fans together is just mind-blowing and awesome. The energy the crowd brings to the table is great. It’s amazing to see how music can transcend age and be passed on. It’s really a great time for me out here right now. When we all hit the stage, the crowd is always energized and electric. It’s the best feeling in the world to hear the fans scream and sing the songs back to you; it’s the ultimate high.

he Miami Herald: This bill seems like a little Glam Metal 101. Are the bands getting along?

Bret: We’re having a blast. POISON, they’re all my brothers, and we all have nothing but respect for MÖTLEY and the NEW YORK DOLLS. TheDOLLS were a huge influence. They kicked things off and really paved the way for us. I hope the fans walk away feeling like they let all of their problems go and had one of the best nights of their lives.

The Miami Herald: How much fun is it to still be doing this so many years later with the same guys?

Bret: We literally built POISON from the ground up. So I’m still proud of that, and I know the guys are all as well. I’m also proud that we’re still together, and the fans are still loving it. What it really comes down to is the chemistry. No amount of rehearsing can ever give you that.

The Miami Herald: Did you imagine that Poison would still be on the road in 2011?

Bret: I think I did imagine a lifelong career with them. Life is about loyalty to me, you stick together. I’m still amazed by the guys and by what we’ve done together in our career: We turned nothing into something and never faked it. Being real is the one ingredient that leads to longevity, and 25 years later here we are. I honestly believe that having that kind of experience behind us, we’re a better band than we have ever been.POISON is a party, and obviously we aren’t kids anymore, but it’s still about having a great time. That’s what it’s always been about.
