Rough night for Axl Rose in Liverpool
Axl Rose haven’t had a good time lately when it comes to accidents and scandals made by himself. After the whole drama of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, he fell while partying in Russia and the next day tweeted a photo of a nasty bruise with the captions “Can u say hematoma?”.
Well, this past Sunday show in Liverpool wasn’t a pretty night for the Guns N’ Roses front-man who, as usual, came late into the stage. The crowd threw a plastic bottle to the center stage during the beginning of “Welcome to the Jungle” and Axl stopped the show and threatened to leave and not perform for them. Then he started the song over again and after that incident the show went through as a normal Guns N’ Roses show.
Accidents is the curse that have been haunting Axl since the beginning of the tour and Sunday was no exception. At the end of the show, when he saying goodbye to the crowd he fell again. Fortunately it wasn’t anything big. Axl… Please be more careful when you walk around.

Former Guns n’ Roses members of illusions era play a charity event
As this year’s Road Recovery honoree at their annual concert in New York City next month, Slash will be performing with former GNR members Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan and Gilby Clarke, as well as Wayne Kramer and more, to support the charity.
Road Recovery is dedicated to helping young people battle addiction and other adversities by harnessing the influence of entertainment industry professionals who have confronted similar crises and now wish to share their experience, knowledge, and resources.
With support from the mental health field, Road Recovery provides hands-on mentorship training, educational/performance workshops, peer-support networking, and “all access” to real-life opportunities by collaborating with young people to create and present live-concert events.
Road Recovery empowers young people of all backgrounds to face their struggles and helps them develop comprehensive life skills, guided by professionals and supported by a community of like-minded peers.
This year’s Road Recovery annual concert happens September 13 at the Best Buy Theater in New York City.

Guns N’ Roses add dates to fall tour
More dates for the upcoming fall tour by Guns N’ Roses have surfaced.
This week, the band has posted news of shows in La Paz, Bolivia (Oct 12), Guadalajara, Mexico (Oct 22) and Asuncion, Paraguay (Oct 14).
These concerts all fill in around GNR’s headlining slot on the closing night of Rock In Rio on October 2.

Scott Weiland : Not to rule out a VELVET REVOLVER reunion
Never say never. That’s the viewpoint Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland had adopted when it comes to his other former band, Velvet Revolver. Weiland reports that he is once again friends with Slash and the rest of the group, and says not to rule out an on-stage reunion at some point in the future.
In a recent interview with Classic Rock magazine, Weiland reflected somewhat wistfully on his time in Velvet Revolver, which paired him with former principal members of Guns N’ Roses, saying, “That was a magical thing, too. That was right when I was getting off dope and those guys were all sober and clean, and I had a very special kind of kinship because we’d all experienced the same things.”
Weiland intimated that there was a fraternal camaraderie in the band: “It felt like us against the world: ‘We’re gonna play just pure rock ‘n’ roll.’ And I think we did a really good job of it. It was a great band to see live, and I think we made two exciting albums.”
So it’s great to see that after the expected nastiness that follows a breakup, the musicians are all friends again, even staying in contact thanks to technology. Weiland admitted, “We patched things up and we get along. I see them every now and again, we text each other.”
He also offered up a little sliver of hope to diehard VR fans, saying, “And you know, we can never say never. Who knows, maybe we’ll do some shows some time.” That’s good news, especially since Velvet Revolver still haven’t found a replacement for the singer, having shelved recent material recorded with Slipknot’s Corey Taylor.
Axl Rose le responde a Slash sobre la reunión de Guns N’ Roses
Recientemente informábamos sobre las declaraciones que hizo Slash al respecto de la reunión de Guns N’ Roses, la cual aseguró, sólo se podría dar si su ex compañero Axl Rose se disculpaba con él.
Al respecto Axl respondió en Twitter que contrario a lo que algunos aclaman, no hay planes concretos para una gira y mucho menos para reemplazar a nadie en la alineación actual de la banda.
“Contrario a lo que dicen no hay ningún plan concreto ni nunca hubo plan para un tour, un relanzamiento o patrocinio (y ciertamente ninguno para reemplazar a alguien en la banda). Más allá de una colección de ideas dichas por varios individuos sin ningún fundamento verdadero o negociaciones en puerta, no hay nada más que los compromisos ya hechos (que no necesitan de un científico espacial para reunirlos) Y para su información Doc McGhee ya no está involucrado conmigo o Guns N’ Roses.” Axl también agregó que nada de esto tiene que ver con “el viejo Guns N’ Roses”, así que definitivamente un reencuentro entre ambos músicos parece algo muy lejano.
De Axl depende la reunion con Slash
El guitarrista reveló que podría considerar una reunión de Guns N’ Roses, sólo si su ex compañero de banda, Axl Rose, se disculpara con él.
En entrevista para Los Angeles Daily News, Slash dijo que “Si realmente eso pasara, también tendría que limpiar mi cajón lleno de basura, pero no veo que eso ocurra. Pero si fuera así, haría todo lo necesario para al menos tener una conversación al respecto.” Desde el lanzamiento del Chinese Democracy en 2008, han habido varias propuestas para que ambos compartan de nueva cuenta los escenarios, pero al parecer este enlace sigue en malos términos.

Al creador y guionista de la exitosa comedia musical ‘Glee’ no le ha sentado nada bien que, por segunda vez en pocos meses, el grupo de rock norteamericano Kings of Leon se haya negado a que alguno de sus temas forman parte de la banda sonora de la serie. Esta vez la negativa ha sido para el tema “Use Somebody”. Sus intérpretes no quieren oír versionada las canciones de sus álbumes por los chicos del Instituto Mc Kinley.
Tan mal le ha sentado a Ryan Murphy la noticia que se ha despachado a gusto contra los integrantes del grupo: “Que se jodan”, declaró. A lo que le siguió: “Son unos estúpidos egocéntricos y se están perdiendo el panorama general. No se dan cuenta de que un niño de siete años puede ver a alguien de su edad cantando una canción de los Kings of Leon, y que esto quizá le puede motivar para apuntarse a un grupo o aprender a tocar un instrumento musical.”
Murphy considera que con ‘Glee’ llevan a cabo una función didáctica y educadora: “Lo que realmente hacemos es iniciar a los niños en la música”.
Los ataques del creador de ‘Glee’ no se los llevó el viento, sino que han encontrado debida respuesta en algunos de los integrantes de la banda de rock. El líder y vocalista, Caleb Followill, ha declarado que “Todo este asunto con ‘Glee’ nos ha chocado mucho. Se les ha ido de las manos. Cuando nos hicieron la petición, nosotros ni siquiera habíamos visto el programa. Eso fue cuando acabábamos de salir del estudio y estábamos envueltos en la promoción de Use Somebody”.
Caleb ha intentado rebajar la tensión diciendo: “Nuestra intención nunca fue provocar o reírnos de ‘Glee’, de la educación musical o de los fans del programa. No sabemos muy bien de dónde viene este enfado”.
No así el guitarrista de Kings of Leon, Nathan Followill que en su Twitter dedicó unas “cariñosas” palabras a Ryan Murphy: “Querido Ryan Murphy, déjalo ir. Ve a un terapeuta, hazte una manicura, cómprate un sostén nuevo”. Y todo en menos de 140 caracteres…
No han sido las únicas negativas que ha sufrido ‘Glee’
La reiterada negativa de Kings of Leon a que sus temas formen parte de la recientemente premiada como mejor comedia musical de televisión en los Globos de Oro, no convierte a este grupo en especial. Y es que no han sido los unicos.
Hace poco más de un año el mítico guitarrista de Guns and Roses, Slash, se negó a que las canciones de la banda aparecieran en la serie. Fue contundente: ” ‘Glee’ es peor que “Grease”, y “Grease” ya fue lo suficientemente mala. En realidad, miro a “Grease” y pienso que entre ‘High school musical’ y ‘Glee’, “Grease” fue una magnífica obra de arte”.
Otras bandas como Gorillaz y Coldplay también han cerrado la puerta a la ficción norteamericana. Aunque en el caso de la banda que capitanea Chris Martin hubo marcha atrás y cedieron a las peticiones de ‘Glee’. Quizá la coincidencia de que por esas fechas la mujer de Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow, aparecería como estrella invitada en un capítulo tuvo algo que ver en el cambio de decisión…

Guns n Roses dice NO a Glee
La banda fue contactada por los Productores de Glee para prestar los derechos de una de sus canciones a la serie, frente a esta propuesta el Ex Guitarrista de la banda (Slash) se mostro absolutamente negado a ceder:
“En el clima actual, trato de ser más positivo que negativo, porque es muy fácil ser negativo, pero me llego el limite con esta propuesta. Glee es peor que ‘Grease‘, y eso que Grease no es bueno… Cuando Grease salio, me dije: ‘Oh, vamos! Hagan que esto se detenga!‘. De hecho, cuando estoy viendo Grease ahora, creo que entre High School Musical y Glee, Grease es una verdadera obra de arte!”
